Any comparison?

Here are my kiddo's at about two months.  What do you think?  Does anyone look the same?

Pics #3

Cookie Monster socks. Ethan found my fuzzy blue socks and proclaimed them to be his Cookie Monster socks. Clever little two year old.

Katelyn's first headband. Why did she want one? Her friend in her Sunbeams class has one, of course. This is her favorite one with sparkles.

Speaking of sparkles, here's a cute story.
Me: (driving) Hey kids. Look at that pretty dog. (It was a long haired black and white dog.)
Katelyn: It's not pretty. It doesn't have sparkles.
Katelyn: It looks like a black and white cow.

Hanging out with daddy.

Easter. That's his excited I-have-a-ton-of-candy stop-taking-pictures look.

Abby: Binky. Binky. Binky.
Josh (Shannon's): Don't touch me.
Ben (Scott's): Hey bud. Let's hug.

Hailey and Katelyn. BFF.

Kids and weeds grow like weeds

Our little Abby at 7 1/2 weeks. Too bad she wouldn't smile for me. She has a beautiful little smile.

Sisters. I love Abby's little frowny face.

My cuties.

Whoever can get their pj's on first can have a treat!

This is our beautiful new home. After Dave went to Asia for two weeks and I stayed with my parents after the baby was born, we came home to find a lovely yellow yard. It was FILLED with dandelions and lots of overgrown weeds. This was our first attempt to get rid of them. Just let the lawn mower do the work. (Yes, they came back in all their glory.)

Announcing

Our little Abigail is here! She is three weeks old now and such a sweetheart. She is doing really well and we are so happy that she is so healthy and such a good little girl. I had some complications that scared us at her delivery, but luckily priesthood blessings are real and everything is okay. I'm moving slow still from the emergency c-section and additional surgery, but happy to be enjoying my three kids and my sweet husband.

6 days and counting...

So, what do you get with a 9 month pregnant girl, two sick kids and a double failed attempt to make freezer meals including some incredibly charred chicken cordon bleu (don't leave your house and forget they're in the oven)? I don't know. I can't think straight right now. You'll have to tell me.

Luckily, I have a very wonderful husband who got home early tonight and helped calm the storm... and he didn't even laugh too hard when we got back from Walmart and realized that the food was still in the oven.

Besides all of that, I made the best honey lime enchiladas. Unfortunately, it didn't make enough for a freezer meal like I hoped it would, but they were delicious.

We're working out the bed situation with the kids... I moved all the clothes to the appropriate dressers (that takes some time)... I moved some of the toys... now Dave is out being my superman and getting another bed so that we'll be ready.

My house still smells like chicken cordon bleu... but luckily it doesn't smell as burnt as it looked. We are blessed. And my arms are asleep so I have to stop. Looking forward to holding my baby and getting feeling back in my arms... :)

Freezer meals = Sanity

I was inspired this morning to get myself in gear for next month when little Abby is born. So, I have a list of freezer meals that I'm going to be working on for the next few weeks.

I would love to hear if you have any suggestions. My friend, Amy, helped me come up with a good list, but I'm always looking for more ideas.

I made Chicken and Wild Rice Soup tonight with some breadsticks and it was sooooo good. I was able to fill three zip lock bags with the soup for my freezer. Sweet! Three meals done.

I think I'm going to try this one tomorrow. Looks good.... MMMmm.
