Halloween

Who hasn't ever wanted to make your own Halloween costumes?  I've always wanted to give it a try, so when Katelyn wanted to be Tinker Bell the idea just snowballed.  May I introduce:
Katelyn as Tinker Bell
Ethan as Peter Pan
Abby as Tiger Lily
Dave as Captain Hook
and
Me as Wendy
The kids had so much fun in their costumes.  If you want to make a Peter Pan costume, go here.  Tinker Bell was a modge podge of different ideas.  Captain Hook and Tiger Lily were my own creation, but with the same idea as Peter Pan with some extra frills.  I found my Wendy nightgown at the DI for $3.  Awesome.  Honestly, my mom almost passes out when I tell her that I enjoy sewing (some things).  Who would'a thought?

Katelyn wasn't so excited to party in this picture.  Abby sure enjoyed eating hers though.  Mmmm.  Ethan insisted that we call him Peter when he was in his costume.  They were adorable.  :)

Here's my brother Scott with his adorable son Ben and my Ethan.  Scott and Ben are monsters from Monsters Inc.
Look!  They're smiling!  Of course they are... they are going to get tons of candy in just a minute!
Candy, candy, candy!  The trick or treating loot.
Ethan is growing!  He's growing right out of his PJ's, so after he insisted on wearing his 18 month shorts and t-shirt pj's last night (he's actually in 2T), we bought him these more winter-friendly PJ's.  If you've ever seen Dinosaur Train, you'll recognize his buddy, Buddy.
What could be better than a box?  They had so much fun jumping in it and laughing.  Oh, and you have to check out his adorable bed with his stuffed animals that he puts under the covers when he and Katelyn make their beds in the morning.  So cute!

Summer favorites

Have I posted much lately?  I'm not sure what's been going on, but I wanted to post some of my favorite pictures of the summer.  NOT that the summer is over... I'm in denial.  It was cold tonight while the kids were playing.   NOOOOoooo!  I'm not ready yet.  So, let's talk about summer.

Happy, happy and happy.

Hanging out in Jackson Hole.  So fun!

Our first time at the Bar J.  It was a ton of fun... but the kids faces say it all.  It was tight quarters and geared toward the adults.  We finally took the kids outside and walked around for the last 20 minutes.

Love this face!  She's such an adorable little character.

Yeah!  I love having my picture taken on the bathroom rug!

When Dave went on his last trip to Asia, he picked up an umbrella (ber-ella) for Katelyn.  Favorite ber-ella, favorite tie-died shirt, favorite stuffed dog.  My favorite 4 year old.

And yes, he knew that he was posing for me.  Stylin' Ethan.

My baby's first day of preschool.  How in the world... time flies.
She LOVES Miss Angie and has been doing really well!  Quiet, but smart is the report I got from her teacher.

Why is it so hard to get her to smile?  She helped me decide on her cake... she watched the tutorial video with me and helped me make it... we had a wonderful time.

My beautiful babies.

Real life.

Sunday morning is the best time to take pictures.  Dressed up... no crusty food on their faces yet, and they are still happy.

Love this one!

My sweetheart!

Park City and other stuff

A few great things in the picture here.  Our new yard is so full of lily's like this one and they've been blooming for the past couple weeks.  They're so beautiful.  Also, I tried an experiment one Sunday to see if Katelyn would let me curl her hair.  She likes it straight and there's no changing her mind.  Well, I curled my hair and didn't say a word to her about hers.  It's amazing.  See the cute little curls?  :)  Also, I tried to be handy last year and made this dress for her.  She only wears it when she feels like it, which isn't very often, but nonetheless, here it is.  What a good day!
Cute bed head.
A little Ethan smirk.
They got in their pj's and we realized it was raining.  We had to go out and play in the rain under the double rainbow.
At Park City, we took a nice little hike through The Canyons.  It's always crazy to see a ski resort in the summer.
Photo op on the ski lift chair.  Have you ever seen a screen like this?  I haven't.
Eating ice cream and enjoying the view at our condo for our family vacation.
A little down time watching TV.  I think little Abby is even watching it.  Uh oh.
Katelyn's first ride down the Alpine Slide with Dave.
Katelyn's second ride down the Alpine Slide with me.
Breakfast in pj's on the patio.
Ohhhh.  My babies.
She was all lacey for church today.
Here's a fun comparison shot.  The first one is Katelyn, the second is Abby.  They are both 3 1/2 months old.
(Katelyn has brown hair and brown eyes.)
I love her smiles!  She's such a happy baby!  3 months old.
(It looks like Abby will have strawberry blond hair and blue eyes.)
Ethan, 2 years.  Abby, 3 months.  Katelyn, almost 4.

A few things

I think this is one of our first family pictures.

We live a block away from a splash pad.  I absolutely love it because we go there almost every morning. The kids have a wonderful time and it's a fun place to invite friends.

Dave had a work convention so I took the kids to our first parade in our new town.  They had so much fun and got a bunch of candy.
This was Ethan's attempt to not listen to the noisy police sirens.  Cover your eyes or cover your ears... it's all the same.
My Abby.

My girls.
Ethan is loving his s'more at the cabin.

Katelyn is washing down hers.
Abby's first trip to the family cabin.  She did really well.  We all sleep in the loft together.  It's nice and crowded so I was worried she would wake everyone up in the middle of the night, but she only woke up once.

This is the funniest!  Dave's brother Jared put Ethan in his backpack!  Ethan absolutely loved it and loved to have his "hat" on.

My little Abby was blessed last month.  I can't believe how big she's getting already, though I think she's smaller than my first two.
