And the winner is...

Katelyn is turning into a little ham. No, not a piece of meat, but a really funny girl. She loves to laugh whenever everyone else does, and it's always loud and so cute, as well as make little fishy faces. Well, there was a baby contest in our city so we signed her up. You can see her in the pictures just charming the judges. I wish I had a video of the judges laughing, but just imagine.

So how did it end?? She WON 1st PLACE in her age group! We're so proud of our little cutie. She just makes us laugh. They gave her a crown to wear in the parade next week! We'll miss it because we'll be out of town, but we had a good time since it was a smaller city contest.

Best friends... generation II

Two of my best friends from high school happened to be in town from Texas and Louisiana and I was so excited to see them! We had a great group of girls and have stayed close, even though we don't talk or see each other nearly enough. Don't you love friends like that?

I was so excited to meet my adorable friend's new baby boy. He was born just 3 days before Katelyn! Aren't they so cute together? We're planning the wedding.



You can see how excited Katelyn was to be with him. He was already trying to grab her hand and she did her little excited, straight-legged move. :) It's so cute.



Here's my other cute friend and her new baby boy. He was just adorable and Katelyn crawled right over to him and started rocking him in his little car seat. She loved playing with him!



This is what she looked like by the end of the night. One shoe and sock, dress rolled up so she could crawl and trying to play in the drinking fountain. She was such a trooper and slept most of the next day.

I have to follow up on Scott and Mel's wedding because it was such a wonderful day and my new sister-in-law looked so beautiful! Scott looked pretty good too. ;) We are so happy for them because they just love to be together, tease each other and make everyone laugh. We just love them! Congratulations!

The last picture is Katelyn with all of her cute cousins. I was so excited about Katelyn's outfit for the wedding because I found it all for a great price at Kid to Kid and she looked adorable.

My little brother is getting married! I'm so excited that my cute brother is marrying such and amazing beautiful girl! Congratulations Scott! We're so thrilled that you found the girl of your dreams.

Stairs. The video.

Hello all. So I promised a video of Katelyn's stair climbing and after 4 takes, I got this one. She kept getting distracted by really interesting things like the dog, Wicket, her toes, pieces of grass and passing cars. So many things to look at! She also has promising hopes to become a rock climber. She loves her cousins little "rock wall" and climbed up two steps of it last week. Watch out! We've got a climber!

Summer!

Welcome home! Dave's parents and sister and nephew just returned from their mission in Samoa! It is so wonderful to have them with us!! It's especially fun for me (I'll be selfish) because they've been gone ever since Dave and I have been married so I finally get a chance to spend time with them!

We did it! Our first 5k of the year. Katelyn was a little sleepy still so she didn't run it with us.

A couple weeks ago we were lucky enough to hook up with our good friends the Hanny's before they moved to Florida. We hope things are going well out there! When you're up the canyon and need to change a diaper, just remember that a laundry basket comes in really handy.

We're teaching her how to smell with her nose and it's so cute when she wrinkles up her nose and sniffs. She is probably taking a bite of the flower while she's smelling it, but it's a good start.

One of Dave's best friends from high school got married a couple weeks ago. We had such a great time spending the day with them!Katelyn's new smile. I love it! :)
